Last season

Having had to regroup at the beginning, one player out and two players in, Positions were swapped around and many times due to injury/sickness players played out of position. Credit to all the girls, this has not done us any harm, and I am looking forward to next season already!! We finished a respectable 7th in the league. We narrowly missed out on a semi final match in the League Cup losing the quarter final very narrowly to a 1-0 defeat at Fulford.

Our team have a fantastic pass and move manner, which will help immensely when we go up to 9-aside next season and with the full squad back and fit we have a lot to work with to strengthen our game.

We took part in the Poppleton tournament . Only conceding 2 goals in four games, we narrowly missed out on a quarter final place. With a limited squad, Ian and I along with all your parents were extremely proud on how you played and your standard of football is forever improving. Credits from other league managers who have commented on our sportsmanship, our attitude and many have said if there was a team of the season for hospitality and sportsmanship, we would have been put forward to receive that award.

Our end of season jolly up took us to the Ladies FA Cup Final in Coventry to watch Arsenal Ladies vs Bristol Academy. Most of you had the chance to speak to some of the Arsenal players and were lucky enough to meet the controversial ladies referee, Sian Massey. It was a fantastic day out.

On a personal note, I am proud to announce my FA2 qualification and will put all this and use the contacts I have to ensure we make the best out of our training sessions.

2011-2012 Season

The league this year again looks challenging but if we are confident and work hard, we should do well. I aim to ensure that each girl reaches the best of her ability and more importantly enjoys coming to training and playing league and cup games. I cannot fault any of our squad with the dedication, enthusiasm and commitment they give and I am delighted that they have all decided to sign back on next season. We also welcome Alice Ella.

Train hard, have fun and hopefully come up with the results, but as long as you keep those smiles on your faces and know you have personally contributed individually, and as a team, I cannot ask for anymore.

Good luck and here's to the season ahead, our last season in mini soccer!

News Manager: Helene Whytock

We are regularly mentioned in the press being Park Life on a Saturday and more recently the Pocklington Post.  This is mainly due to the match reports that Dave Lynch sends in and whilst mentioning Dave, thanks for being our resident ref and our Andy Gray!!

Here's to season 2011-2012 and I will update you at the end.

Should you wish to join our squad I can be contacted at trevski1andelz@hotmail.co.uk and we welcome girls of all standards

Coach: Ian Fitzmaurice
