Season 2010-2011

Welcome to Stamford Bridge Scorpions webpage.

We are all looking forward to our 3rd season of football and having climbed from bottom of the league in our first year to 3rd in the table last year we are hopeful of having a successful season. The management team has changed with Sarah and Simon Hart moving on to run the under 11s. Dave and I will try to continue their good work this year and I am delighted to finally put the things I learned on an FA coaching course 20 years ago into practice!

We are delighted to welcome a couple of new faces to the team. I’m sure they will be made to feel welcome. We are always on the lookout for new future stars so please get in touch if you want to join in. Over the last 2 years the girls have come on in leaps and bounds and learned lots of new skills. We have been very proud of how they have developed their passing and tackling and are relishing seeing some entertaining football this season.

We will continue to work with the girls to build their confidence and teamwork as well as their individual footballing skills. Most of all we hope they continue to enjoy their football and keep smiling whether we win, lose or draw. Especially when we win!!!

Trainer of Week / Player of the Match Awards:

Like the boys we have a player of the match award and a trainer of the week award which not only encourages the girls to listen and learn and enjoy the game, it also praises them when they have done well.

Qualification of Players

To qualify to play for the under 12s players must be under the age of 12 and have attained the age of 10 as at midnight on 31st August in the playing season.
