Season 2010-2011
Welcome back to this season and I hope you have all had a great summer, I have!!
Just touching on last season, we finished a very respectable 4th in the City of York League closely behind our neighbouring Stamford Team, and we reached the semi –final of the league cup, sadly not reaching the final. We have two new players in one player out, and from what I have seen in our training sessions, we are going to have a lot of fun this season along with playing very neat football.
As most of the squad are aware I am currently on my FA2 level course at York College, spending time down using the Centre of Excellence facilities. I am on a course with 40 other students – only 3 girls!! And to be fair to the guys down there I have so far learnt a lot to bring back to our team. I have two fantastic ex footballers as my tutors. My final topic will be presented to the assessors on 11th and 12th December 2010, and I would like to thank all the girls’ teams at the club for encouraging me along to their training sessions and put into practise what I have been learning. Fingers crossed for December!! I have also been invited back to the Junior school to coach their team for the school season ahead, some of you girls will also work with me there
Our Season with the City of York League starts on Saturday 18th September, we are at home to our neighbours Stamford Bridge Scorpions. Ian and I have every confidence in this being another good season and most of all we hope each and every one of you enjoy the football you are involved in. You are all coming on leaps and bounds and we are really looking forward to seeing you put it all into play. The winning side of it is an added big bonus.
Remember if you have any friends in your age group that would like to come and join us, ask them to visit the website or contact Helene Whytock on 07889124508
Good luck to our new signings and good luck to the existing squad that turn in day in day out and make my job and Ian’s very rewarding. And welcome back you parents thanking you in advance for your appreciation and support to myself Ian and the Girls, off we go again!!!!!!!!!

We are regularly mentioned in the press being Park Life on a Saturday and more recently the Pocklington Post. This is mainly due to the match reports that Dave Lynch sends in and whilst mentioning Dave, thanks for being our resident ref and our Andy Gray!! Here's to season 2010-2011 and I will update you at the end. |
Should you wish to join our squad I can be contacted at haw2611@yahoo.com and we welcome girls of all standards Coach: Ian Fitzmaurice |
