About the Club
Stamford Bridge Junior Football Club is a community and family based club, which has FA Charter club status. The club is run by its own committee which administers its affairs, organization and training in order to provide facilities and competitive football for boys and girls aged 7 to 18. SBJFC forms part of the Stamford Bridge Playing Fields Association and this enables the club to provide excellent facilities both on and off the pitch. Stamford Bridge Junior Football Club is one of only a handful of clubs which are feeder clubs to York City.
We are well organized and well run with a number of current FA badge holders (qualified coaches), & 2 superb venues. We aim to be a fun club for our children and comfortable enough for parents to feel involved in helping run junior football.
Each age group (u7-u10) provides two teams usually referred to as A & B team. This season there is no under 10 age group owing to insufficient numbers. As with each age group the Club welcomes potential players of all abilities, boys and girls and it is never too late to start to play. In fact the club now have four all-girl teams (u11 & u11 Scorpions, u13 & u14) and a number of girls playing for the under 7 and under 8 teams. The girls teams pages will be appearing shortly! So if you are currently aged between 6 and 16 and you want to play for a great team, why not drop the club an e-mail at "contact us" shown below, or come down to one of the training sessions, the schedules for which can be found by following each age groups links on the left.
Oh and by the way, we have nothing to do with Chelsea FC! They appear to have liked the name of our village so much they called their ground after us. Which is nice..! These directions will therefore get you to Stamford Bridge, East Riding of Yorkshire rather than our poorer name sakes at the end of the King's Road.
